Volunteer Paul is “knowledgable, caring and generous”

Paul has been with the Harrogate Service since 2013 and has worked across many aspects of the service. Paul is the Lead Volunteer and undertaken many activities in his endeavours to support our client group.

Stephen Flood, Volunteer and Peer Mentor Coordinator at North Yorkshire Horizons, said: “Paul currently offers much needed benefits advice and support and has been successful in supporting many clients to challenge decisions and win appeals with regards to their benefits. His colleagues see him as knowledgeable, caring and generous. We’re very grateful.”

He has forged great links with job centre and citizens advice services.

Paul has had a lifetime of volunteering to support others – Paul was recently recognised for his lifetime contribution to voluntary services and received his 2nd Invitation to the Queens garden party. Paul has won Yorkshire Smile maker Award, Volunteer of the Year in Harrogate Borough.

Paul said: “Seeing the smiles of those that I support makes it all worthwhile.”
