Who are NYH?

North Yorkshire Horizons is an integrated drug and alcohol recovery service for North Yorkshire.

Our aim is to help as many people as possible to recover from and be free from drug and alcohol dependency.

We want to reduce the harm that is caused to individuals, families and communities.

We offer access to experienced and professional teams who work with individuals on their journey to recovery from drugs and/or alcohol. When you join the service, you will be allocated a key worker who will support you throughout your treatment and help you develop a Recovery Plan, that’s built around you and your circumstances.

The North Yorkshire Horizons Service is provided, on behalf of North Yorkshire County Council, by DISC, CGL and  Spectrum.

We’ve developed an infographic to help illustrate how we’re doing.

There are a number of opportunities to volunteer and work within the North Yorkshire Horizons service. We welcome suggestions for new volunteering opportunities that aren’t currently available – please discuss any ideas with a member of staff.

In the future, it may be possible to look at volunteering to deliver holistic therapies within the service, dependent on the appropriate safeguards being put in place.
