Service users at Northallerton Hub have enjoyed their first Walk & Talk outing at Richmond, walking to Easby Abbey.
The idea for these outings came from the Service User Involvement Group which meets regularly for service users to plan activities and service improvements they feel will benefit all clients of North Yorkshire Horizons.
Recovery Coordinator Ruth Hasney who helps run the group and attended the Walk & Talk event, says: “Our walk was really enjoyable. What was nice was how natural it felt. It’s not like a normal group – there’s no distinction between service users and staff. We’re just out together enjoying the countryside.’
Walk & Talk is now set to become a regular event with the next taking place in Great Ayton on Friday 6th July at 11am. Service users interested in coming along should speak to their keyworker.Back to News
